Disney has announced that Trisha Husson is now the head of strategy, business operations and finance for Disney General Entertainment (DGE). She will report to Disney Television President Peter Rice and Husson will oversee the Strategy, Finance and Business Operations functions, which include content research, information and planning, content evaluation, music business affairs and media relations. work. Disney General Entertainment is responsible for delivering programming to all of The Walt Disney Company’s distribution platforms through its creative brands ABC Entertainment, ABC News, Disney Branded Television, Freeform, FX, Hulu Originals, Onyx Collective and National Geographic, and television studios 20th Television and Signature ABC. These units create, produce and market iconic and critically acclaimed programs that power the company’s Disney+, Hulu and Star streaming platforms, as well as its cable and broadcast networks.
Husson manages the teams that provide holistic strategy, production financial planning, data-driven content analytics and operational guidance for DGE, which generates over 4,500 hours of programming each year.
In her new role, Husson will have a dotted line reporting to Christine McCarthy, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Walt Disney Company, to align DGE’s financial management with the company’s strategic priorities.

Husson has been with the team for 16 years. Prior to her current role, she was Executive Vice President of Strategy and Business Operations for Fox Networks Group, where she was responsible for leading key strategic and growth initiatives for FOX Broadcasting, FOX Sports Media Group, FX Networks, National Geographic Networks, FNG International Channels, Twentieth Century Fox Television Studios and Hulu. Husson began his career working in investment banking for DLJ/Credit Suisse, M&A due diligence for Deloitte & Touche and public accounting for BDO Seidman. Husson earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from UCLA and an MBA from Cornell’s Johnson Graduate School of Management.
Marcotte has been part of the team for nine years. Prior to his current role, he was a member of the Fox Networks Group Business Operations and Strategy team, working with Husson and FNG management on strategic initiatives in broadcast, cable, studio and digital, including including Hulu. Marcotte began his career in investment banking at Houlihan Lokey, focusing on M&A advisory and corporate strategy for The Boeing Company. He holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in finance and international business from Georgetown University.
