Women’s Club Members Earn Service Pins

The Mocksville Women’s Club held its first meeting after its summer break on September 14.

Vanessa Lowder, GFWC-NC District 4 President, installed officer for Second Vice President Linda Dorsett and First Vice President Kay Bolick. She also helped President Paullete Agha present Elke Albrecht with her 30-year service pin and Patsy Cranfill with her 20-year service pin.

MWC welcomed two new members – Virginia (Gini) Brannon and Elizabeth Seymur from Davie County.

Bolick, the fundraising chairman, announced that the club is selling poinsettias again this year – 6.5 and 8 inch pots in five colors.

Marlene Shamel and Linda Sechrist have announced that the club will once again be working with Wreaths Across America. If you are interested in purchasing a wreath in honor of a veteran, the cost is $15. Contact a club member before October 13. The wreaths will be delivered to the National Veterans Cemetery in Salisbury. The women of the club will help place the wreaths.
